(February 12, 2014 – Salem, OR) Cattlemen from across the state will meet once again in continued efforts for advancement of the Oregon cattle industry, this time in Corvallis, Oregon. The Oregon Cattlemen’s Association (OCA) Spring Quarterly meeting will be held February 21-22, 2014 at Oregon State University’s James E. Oldfield Animal Teaching Facility.

The meeting kicks off with a legislative briefing Friday morning at 8:00 am at the State Capitol in Salem. The meeting will start at 12:30 pm in Corvallis and at 5:00 pm the meeting will adjourn followed by dinner hosted by the Oregon State University (OSU) Young Cattlemen’s Association. A tour of OSU’s agricultural facilities will start things off on Saturday followed by more business and an update of Oregon’s state FFA program.
OCA President, Ray Sessler, looks forward to convening this quarter’s meeting in Corvallis and to inspiring our future ranchers. “Farmers and ranchers as a whole are getting older day by day, it is important that we reach out to the next generation who will raise food for our growing nation. I look forward to helping provide these upcoming farmers and ranchers the networking, policy, and production tools they will need for a successful future.”
