Educational Seminar on Various Federal & State Requirements Concerning Agricultural Labor

This notice is to alert you to an agricultural labor laws seminar for growers and farm labor contractors that will take place in Hood River, Oregon on Tuesday, April 11, 2017. The Columbia Gorge Fruit Growers Association will be hosting this forum at 2835 Van Horn Drive in Hood River, Oregon. This event has been coordinated to inform and educate agricultural employers and their supervisory personnel on the various federal and state requirements concerning agricultural labor requirements. Please take advantage of this opportunity for you and your supervisory personnel.

This session will be conducted in English, from 8:00 am until 2:45 pm with a half hour lunch. bring a sack lunch or snacks if you like! The session will cover federal and state agricultural labor and safety requirements, including wage and hour requirements, safety in transportation and housing, field sanitation, discrimination, harassment, and more. Training is provided by the US DOL Wage and Hour Division, Oregon OSHA, Oregon Bureau of Labor and Industries, Oregon Employment Department and others. Our friends with the Columbia Gorge Fruit Growers Association will be hosting this event.
