I’m curious if anyone knows what is the longest recorded time between live, unassisted births of twin calves. An older Angus cow of mine calved on January 11th. She hadn’t shown any signs except to want to be by herself and she didn’t have any milk. I gave the calf colostrum and bottle fed it while I thought about what to do. Yesterday, on January 20th, nine days later, she had the second heifer calf, along with some milk. She has been a good milk provider in the past and she now has some, but not as much as usual. Both calves seem healthy. No one I have talked to has heard of anything like this happening.
